An Opportunity to Ensure Your College Success
Participation in BCC's TRiO Student Support Services program is limited to 160 students. TRiO participants are twice as likely to graduate from college as their peers and have an average GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Program Services
Services provided by the program include:
- Assistance with basic study skills such as how to take notes, study for exams, manage time effectively, etc.
- Individual and group tutorial services in math, English and other academic subjects as available.
- TRiO SSS Learning Strategies, a two credit course - designed specifically for participants to practice and implement study skills.
- Personal, financial, and academic advising as needed.
- Assistance in securing admission and financial aid for transfer to 4-year colleges and universities.
- TRiO SSS Learning Resource Center, B234E, a quiet study center for TRiO participants to use computers, receive tutoring, complete homework and other assignments.
- Group activities, workshops, events, and a quarterly academic awards reception designed to enhance your educational experience at Bellevue Community College.
- A laptop lending program which allows participants to borrow laptop computers for use at home.
