I began working with wood and power tools nearly 30 years ago, after going through Seattle Central College’s cabinetmaking program. Since then I have had various jobs in the field, starting out making wooden towel bars, to my last job outside the college, working for Heartwood Inc., a company that specializes in very high end contract furniture. I have been teaching Art 108 here since 2004.
Also, I am the wood and sculpture shop supervisor at BC, and enjoy assisting in some of the 3D Design, Sculpture, and Furniture Design classes. This suits another interest and lets me use the knowledge learned at the University of Washington, where I received a BFA in sculpture.
