ABOUT THE ABE (Adult Basic Education) PROGRAM:

The mission of the ABE Program at Bellevue Community College is to offer a flexible program to meet the diverse needs of the adults of the Greater Eastside Community to become more self-sufficient. Students will be able to function independently, participate more fully in a global economy, and exercise the rights and responsibilities of citizenship. There is a $25 non-refundable registration fee for these classes.

BASIC SKILLS CLASS FOR ADULTS (ABE)

The Basic Skills for Adults class is designed to help adults to:

  • Improve basic skills in reading, writing and math
  • Develop life long learning skills
  • Obtain personal satisfaction through self-development
  • Meet basic skills requirements for workplace job opportunities
  • Prepare for GED classes or other college classes

Classes are available in reading, writing, math and study skills.

  • Day or evening classes
  • Integrated Basic Skills Lab or Reading Lab are included

Requirements:

  • Age 19 or older (age 16-18 with instructor permission)
  • Reading and math evaluation is required before enrolling in class
