Bellevue Women’s Soccer Fall in NWAACC Semi-Finals

After advancing in the NWAACC playoffs on November 13, the Bellevue College women’s soccer team faced their next challenge this past Saturday, Nov. 20, in the form of the Walla Walla Warriors, the 2009 defending women’s soccer Champions.

The Bulldogs, coming off a hard-fought victory in the second round, gave a valiant effort against the Warriors, but it was not to be as injuries plagued the team. Walla Walla’s offense proved to be too much and Bellevue’s tournament run came to an end. The final score was 5-1 in favor of Walla Walla with Bellevue’s lone goal coming from Abigail Stuart in the 84th minute.

Bellevue finished the season with a 10-1-4 record in league play, 13-3-4 overall.  They allowed 25 goals, scoring 52, and recorded eight shutouts throughout the season. The team achieved their playoff spot by winning the West Region and earning a 1st round bye. Well done, Bulldogs! We are proud of your season!
