KLEIS INDIVIDUAL CHAMP AT SALISH CLIFFS

Bellevue College men’s golf team sophomore standout Colten Kleis took first place individually with a 74 in the Ann Swanson Cup Tournament at Salish Cliffs in Shelton on Sunday, Oct. 21. Battling tough conditions and heavy rain, Kleis held on to win the event by one shot. Also playing well was fellow teammate Ryan Maul who finished in fourth place with a 77. “I’m glad for Colten who has been working very hard on his game,” said head coach Kirk Johanson. “It’s nice to see all his hard work paying off with a well-deserved victory on a great golf course.” The BC Men took third place as a team, finishing nine shots off first place winner Green River. “I’m looking forward to a terrific spring season for both our golf teams,” said coach Johanson.
