The Bulldogs women’s basketball team won a huge game at Whatcom on Saturday February 15 by a score of 72-61. Both teams were tied for first place with 10-1 league records going into the game. Bellevue jumped out to a 35-28 lead in the first half and cruised to the road win. The Bulldogs were tough from long range, draining 13 three-pointers on the night. Bellevue again had a balanced scoring attack, as they have in several games this year, as they were led by Hunter Hopkins (14 points), Tayler Flemming (13), Kaitlynn Bunger (12), and Alexis Berrysmith (10). Bellevue is now one game away from the North Region crown with a big game this Wednesday hosting Skagit Valley, the lone team to defeat Bellevue this year. Bellevue is now 11-1 in league play and on top of the North Region with a six game win streak heading into the final week of league play.
