Bellevue Women’s Golf Finishes Sixth at NWAACC Championships: Sam Saleba Ninth Overall in Individual

Sam Saleba finished ninth overall at the NWAACC Championships at Horn Rapids GC in Richland, WA.

While the Bellevue College women’s golf team did not repeat as NWAACC champions, the team showed huge improvement throughout the year and finished sixth overall at the team championship this week May 18-19 at Horn Rapids Golf Course in Richland, WA. Sam Saleba shot 93-84 to finish ninth overall in the individual. She was Bellevue’s lone individual in the top ten. Meredith Johnson shot 93-106 while Laurie Shank shot 106-107 to round out Bellevue’s team scoring. Columbia Basin, whose home course is Horn Rapids, won the team and individual title. Hope Neidhold, Columbia Basin’s top golfer, who was named the Baden NWAACC Player of the Year, shot an amazing two over par 74 on the final day to win the individual competition.
