Bulldogs Volleyball Lose Tough Match

The Bellevue Bulldogs traveled to play the Olympic Rangers at Olympic College Friday October 24 and lost in four. The first three games were back and fourth between the teams. In game one Olympic pulled ahead to take game one 25-20. The Bulldogs fought back in game two taking the lead 20-12 before the Rangers pulled back within one. The Bulldogs were able to hold on to game two winning 25-21. The momentum traveled back to the Rangers side to take game two 25-21. With the chance to send it to five, the Bulldogs battled back after being down 13-9 to tie it up at 16-16. The battle continued point for point until the Rangers were able to top the Bulldogs 27-25 to take the match. The Bulldogs offense was led by outside hitter Kayley Watkins and middle blocker Kelcie Russell with 12 kills each followed by outside hitter Loretta Forrest with 10. Forrest and libero Sara Pulaski had 21 digs for the Bulldogs. Setter Dani Smullin had 40 assists in the match. Bellevue plays tonight Monday October 27 in a match up at Shoreline at 7:00 PM.
