After a dominating opening-round 88-66 win over Lower Columbia on Friday December 12, the BC women’s basketball team took home third place in the Everett Tourney by going 2-1 on the weekend. In Friday’s big win, Bellevue netted 51 points in the first half alone. Mikayla Jones did the damage from the outside, scoring 26 points on 10-of-17 shooting while Shelby Kassuba dominated inside with 16 points. Kassuba maintained her presence inside with 12 points and 11 rebounds. In the consolation game on Sunday December 14, Bellevue defeated host Everett 74-55 for third place. Jones regained her touch from Friday, scoring 22 points. Hunter Hopkins poured in 20 points as well to lead Bellevue. Vivienne McClean led BC with 11 rebounds. The Bulldogs are now 4-4 on the year and travel to Gresham, OR for the Mount Hood Crossover this weekend Friday December 19-Sunday December 21.
