Men’s Basketball Survives Scare From Grays Harbor; Wins Final Pre-Season Game 72-57

Bellevue College men’s basketball down 30-26 at halftime to the Grays Harbor Chokers, rallied back in the second half outscoring them 46-27 to earn a 72-57 win. The Chokers controlled BC in the first half with hot shooting; 57% from three-point range and 80% at the free throw line compared to BC’s 0% and 25% in the respective categories. Dom Holub and Brian Zehr each had 17 points for the Bulldogs. Zehr had six rebounds and three steals as well. Dominic Smith led BC with 10 rebounds. BC moves to 13-2 and has the top record in the NWAC and number one ranking heading into league play. Grays Harbor falls to 5-7 on the year. Bellevue will host Shoreline this Saturday January 10 at 6PM in what will be the league opener for both teams. Saturday’s game will also be the homecoming for first-year Shoreline Head Coach Donald Brady, who previously served as an assistant under Bellevue Coach Jeremy Eggers.
