Bellevue College men’s basketball held a five point lead at halftime and extended it gradually in the second half of play as the Bulldogs went on for a comfortable 75-62 road win at Peninsula College last night. Bellevue’s efficient rotation of players allowed the Bulldogs bench to outscore the Pirates 34-10. Dom Holub and Cory Nevin came off the bench to score 15 and 14 points respectively. Nevin hit several key three-pointers to keep Peninsula at a distance and ended a perfect 4-for-4 from three point range on the night. Anthony McLaughlin has continued his steady play since returning from an injury after missing much of pre-season. McLaughlin had 14 points and six rebounds. Although the backcourt tandem shooting threat of Jalen Ward and Dominique Jordan shot a cold 6-for-22 from the field, they were a combined 10 of 12 from the free throw line.  Bellevue is now 5-0 in league and 18-2 overall with a home game coming up against Whatcom this Wednesday January 28 at 7PM.
