Men’s Basketball Wins Big Over Whatcom

Bellevue College men’s basketball cruised to a 76-44 win over the visiting Whatcom Orcas last night as five players scored in double digits. Sophomore Jalen Ward led BC with 15 points. Ward as a perfect 8-for-8 at the free throw line and also led Bellevue with six rebounds and six assists. Dominique Jordan had 13 points as did Addison McIrvin. Dom Holub scored 12 while Cory Nevin added 11. Although the game was not closely contested, Bellevue played the final minutes with essentially seven healthy bodies including four in foul trouble with four apiece.  Bellevue jumped out to a 40-18 lead as the Orcas could not generate any momentum in the second half to overcome their large deficit. Bellevue is now 6-0 in league and 19-2 overall. The Bulldogs play at Everett this Saturday January 31 at 6PM.
