With the highest winning streak in the NWAC on the line, Bellevue’s men’s basketball team lost their first game in over a month to Edmonds in the final seconds 84-81. Down by nine in the first half, Bellevue surged back in the second half shooting an amazing 60% from the field and appeared to be in position to maintain their win streak but fell short.  Edmonds used a balanced attack and their depth on the bench as six of their players scored in double figures. Bellevue was led by the 22 points from Dominique Jordan and 21 from Dom Holub. Jalen Ward was solid all around with 19 points and also nine rebounds. Jordan and Holub were a perfect combined 14-for-14 from the free throw line. The nail-biting win for Edmonds avenged an overtime loss to Bellevue during the first half of league play. Although losing their first game of the season in league play, Bellevue remains in control with a 10-1 record and NWAC-best 21-3 overall record. They remain number one in the poll and will entertain Peninsula College at home this Sunday February 22 at 3PM.
