In their final home game at Courter Family Athletic Pavilion, Bellevue College men’s basketball fell victim to the hot shooting Everett Trojans, who came from behind to win 78-74. After building a comfortable nine point lead, Everett’s Derek Brown literally turned the table with his hot shooting, draining six of eight from three point range as Everett scored 50 points in the second half to overtake Bellevue. Bellevue cold shooting from the perimeter was a stark contrast, as the Bulldogs made only four of 21 from three point range (19%). Jalen Ward was the lone hot shooting Bulldog and carried the team scoring 33 points. Ward was 13-of-21 from the field and was 5-for-6 from the free throw line. Anthony McLaughlin had 11 points and 12 rebounds.Ward, McLaughlin, Dominique Jordan, and Dominic Smith were honored before the game during Head Coach Jeremy Eggers’ annual sophomore night ceremony.  Although the loss dropped Bellevue into the #2 seed for the North Region due to tie-breaker rules, the Bulldogs shared the North Region title with Edmonds, as both clubs finished 12-2 in league play. Bellevue finishes regular season play at 25-4; the top record in the entire NWAC.  Up next for Bellevue is the NWAC Championships which will be played in the Toyota Center in Kennewick, WA. Bellevue opens up tourney play Saturday March 7 at 4PM vs. Umpqua (OR).
