Women’s Tennis Wins Season Opener Over Four-Year University PLU

Bellevue College’s women’s tennis team appears to be on track to win yet another NWAC title, as they not only won their season opener in dominant fashion, 7-2, but they also did it over a four-year university as they defeated Pacific Lutheran University on Thursday March 19. Although Bellevue’s top two individual seeds lost, both came back with their doubles partners to win. Freshman number one singles player Jessie Han and sophomore Kristy Braunston, captured number one doubles 9-7. Bellevue’s three through six singles all won. Braunston, playing as the number three, won in straight sets without losing a single game 6-0, 6-0. Anna Lefebvre (6-3, 6-4), Angela Moniaga (6-4, 6-4), and Sabrina Norton (6-1, 6-0) won handily.  Bellevue’s next match is Friday March 27 against another four-year university, University of Puget Sound. Matches begin at 4PM at the UPS campus.
