Bellevue College softball won twice on Saturday, April 25, with ease as the Bulldogs defeated Skagit Valley on the road by scores of 14-1 and 20-4.   In game one, Brooke Bonsen went the distance on the mound, giving up only four hits to Skagit Valley hitters. Nikki Tiffany had six RBI’s to lead Bellevue’s offense. Bonsen did double-duty damage, as she also went 3-for-4 at the plate as a hitter. Cassidy Mast, a freshman out of Sedro Woolley HS, had a big game in front of her hometown fans by collecting three hits also. The Bulldogs put up 12 runs in the second inning as six consecutive hits by Bulldog hitters followed by a home run by Tiffany did the damage.

In game two, Bellevue had another big inning, by putting up 10 runs in the third inning. Rachel Delamare had the big game offensively with seven RBI’s. Tessani Dixon had three hits to help Bellevue’s cause. Dixon also paired with Ciera Lockwood for the pitching duties.

Bellevue has two key doubleheaders this week. The Bulldogs are currently 11-3 and in second place in the North Region. Bellevue hosts Everett this Tuesday, April 28 at 2 p.m. at Bellevue College. Everett is in third place at 11-5, and also swept Bellevue earlier in the year. The Bulldogs then travel to Canada to take on first place Douglas (12-2) on Thursday April 30.
