Bellevue men’s golf went on a surge on day two at the NWAC Championships but fell short by eight strokes to champion Spokane. The two-day stroke play event, held at Oakbrook Golf and Country Club in Lakewood, is the pinnacle event of the year. The Bulldogs put themselves in a hole after day one on Sunday, May 17. The team shot 23 over par, putting them near the bottom of the pack in the ten team field.

On day two, Bellevue went low, coming back to shoot only two over par; a 21-stroke difference between day one and two. Chad Hall flipped a day one 77 into a 65 on day two. The five under par round put Bellevue back in contention in one of the most amazing comebacks in NWAC golf. Hall ended up in third place in the individual portion after firing the low round of the day amongst the entire field. Max Tucker also fired one of the top scores on day two with a 71. Jack Strickland and Brady Campbell played consistently on both days as Strickland shot 75-72 while Campbell went 74-74. Strickland ended up tied for ninth overall. Taylor Bolm shot 80-79 and Taylor Smith carded 80-82 to round out Bellevue’s team.
