Vchulek Dominates Team Honors

Freshman center fielder Dylan Vchulek, who finished runner-up in the NWAC batting title after hitting nearly .400 this spring, won three team awards out of the six categories as voted on by his teammates. Vchulek was named the recipient of the Silver Bat Award (top hitter), Most Improved (from the beginning of fall to end of spring), and MVP honors.  Vchulek won the Silver Bat and MVP honors in a landslide, and narrowly won the Most Improved Award over pitcher Brooks Hanson by one vote.

Zander Clouse took home Most Valuable Pitcher honors while freshman Jordan LaFave easily won the Gold Glove Award.  In the closest results which reflected the sophomore class’ passion and commitment towards the team, second year starter Alex Check won the Paul Villiott Most Inspirational Award by one vote over fellow sophomore pitchers Koleman Johns and Marty Luckenbach.
