The Bellevue College Bulldogs traveled to Skagit Valley for the first Northern Region matchup of the season on Wednesday September 23. In a difficult gym to play in, the Bulldogs defeated the Cardinals in four (25-23,19-25,25-23,25-23). After libero Alana Jennings was injured this past weekend, freshman Madison Cole stepped up and had a lot of tough digs for the Bulldogs to keep them in the fight. “The teams resilience and competitiveness drove us to take a close match in a really tough environment,” said Coach Lawrence. “I was really proud of the leadership our team is starting to find. We have work to do but it is a good start to region play.”
