Women’s Basketball Breaks Loose in Second Half to Top Shoreline

After allowing Shoreline to stay in the game throughout the first half leading 30-23, the Bellevue College women’s basketball team outscored Shoreline 26-2 in the third quarter to set the tone for an easy win by a score of 76-33.Bellevue’s defense held Shoreline to just 10 total points in the second half while scoring 46. The extended lead allowed Bellevue Head Coach Mel Stubblefield to utilize all of his players and give his starters some much needed rest. 11 BC players saw action.

Mikayla Jones led the Bulldogs with 18 points and 5 assists. Kape Cosmos and Martina Mason came off the bench and added 9 points apiece.

Bellevue is now 1-0 in league play and 11-3 overall. The Bulldogs host Olympic on Wednesday January 13 at 5:00 p.m.
