Bellevue College men’s basketball fell to Edmonds last night 100-84. Tabbed as one of the favorites in the North Region, Bellevue faced a formidable task heading into the game not only facing one of favored teams on paper, but also having to travel to their home court.

The Bulldogs fell behind by 11 points after the first half and could not generate any significant swing in momentum, as they were outscored in the second half as well, 47-42. The freshmen tandem from Shorewood HS, Jordan Muir-Kueng and Yonathan Michael, led BC with 21 and 23 points respectively. The Bulldogs shot exceptionally well in the first half but the mounting pressure in the second half caused the Bulldogs to cool off, as the team made only 9 of 28 attempts from the field in the second half.  On a bright note, the Bulldogs were lights out from the free throw line, sinking 28 of 31.

Bellevue falls to 0-4 in league and 9-10 overall. The squad hosts Peninsula this Saturday at 6:00 p.m.
