Bellevue College baseball got back on the winning track by taking two non-league games this week, winning 12-3 over Pacific University’s JV squad on Monday and a 10-2 win yesterday at home over Green River.

On Monday April 18, the Bulldogs traveled to Forest Grove, OR for a single game against the junior varsity team of Pacific University (NCAA Division III). Niko De La Cruz and Shane Stober led the offense with two doubles apiece. Stober had 2 RBI’s as well. The Bulldogs scored in each of the first four innings with the fourth inning being the big blow, as BC put up five runs to take control. Sophomore Brooks Hanson got the spot start and went four innings and surrendered only one run.

Bellevue’s 10-2 win over Green River yesterday at Courter Field was played under perfect conditions, and the Bulldog bats did not disappoint. Oscar White had 3 RBI’s and raised his batting average to .345. Bellevue used nine pitchers who each threw one inning apiece. Collectively, the staff walked only two batters while striking out nine.

The top-ranked Bulldogs are now 25-7 on the year and will square off with Everett CC this weekend. With rain in the forecast, games may be moved up or back a day. Updates will be posted as they arrive.
