Bellevue College women’s golf continued their successful season as the squad won the team title at the SW Oregon Invitational held at Bandon Dunes GC on Sunday and Monday May 8-9. The Bulldogs set the tone on day one, distancing themselves from the second place finisher Spokane by shooting a first-day total of 257 compared to Spokane’s 282. With a 25 stroke lead heading into day two, the Bulldogs cruised to victory by 20 strokes.

All three Bellevue golfers finished in the top ten individually with Meg McMullen finishing second by shooting 84-84. Sadie Tallman shot 79-91 and Kendra Meeker shot 94-80 to round out Bellevue’s scoring. The Bulldogs, who won the NWAC regular season team title earlier this month, will close out their year this weekend at the NWAC Championships this Sunday-Monday May 15-16 in Walla Walla. The rounds will be held at Walla Walla Country Club and Veteran’s Memorial GC. The Bulldogs are expected to be in a tight shootout against North Idaho College, who has been Bellevue’s toughest opponent all spring.
