Bellevue College softball continued their winning ways on the road with a sweep at Everett by scores of 7-0 and 8-4.  Although it took a few innings for Bellevue’s offense to get going, the Bulldogs put up 2 runs in the third inning then gradually pulled away as pitcher Ciera Lockwood gave Bellevue time to put up runs. Lockwood tossed a complete game shutout scattering only 4 hits. Rachel Delamare was a perfect 3-for-3 with a double and home run while Payton Gibbs knocked in 2 RBI’s with a home run as well.

In game two, Bellevue was much quicker getting on the board putting up 4 runs in the first inning. Delamare and Gibbs continued their hot hitting from game one into the nightcap as Gibbs smacked her second home run of the day and Delamare went 2-for-3 with 3 runs scored. Cassidy Mast had 3 hits to lead Bellevue’s offense. The Bulldogs had 9 hits in the game but capitalized on 7 Everett errors.

Bellevue’s regular season finale is this Saturday May 14 at 3:00 p.m. against Shoreline at home at Robinswood Park. The Bulldogs take a 35-6 record into the game on Saturday and are still currently ranked #1 in both the NWAC Coaches’ Poll and the RPI rankings for the conference.
