In their only game this week during the holiday break, the Bellevue College Bulldog men’s basketball team won 63-52 over visiting Green River yesterday. The contest, which had a noon tip-off, was played prior to a slate of prep games that were part of the annual Bellevue Holiday Classic.

Taylor Freeman led BC with 20 points. He also snagged 9 rebounds. Big man Max Tilden led Bellevue with 10 rebounds and 5 blocked shots to help the cause. Up 27-19 in the first half, the lead grew up to 20 midway through the second half before Green River rallied back to bring the loss margin to 11. Both teams were sluggish in the first half shooting only 26% from the field before becoming re-energized offensively in the second half. Although both teams improved in the second half, Bellevue caught fire early, shooting 47%.

Bellevue is now 10-3 on the year and hosts Centralia in a non-leaguer on January 4 at 7:00 p.m.
