Bellevue College’s men’s basketball team held a slim lead at halftime but could not hold on last night as visiting Everett defeated Bellevue 73-68 at Courter Family Pavilion. Jordan Muir-Keung was a force in every dimension for Bellevue with 19 points and 10 rebounds. Keung was hot from the perimeter, draining 5-of-7 from three-point territory. Taylor Freeman had 20 points as well.

In a relatively even battle, Bellevue ran into foul trouble in the second half and allowed several Everett offensive putbacks underneath to lose momentum. Bellevue’s fouls resulted in Everett’s 22 attempts from the free throw line last night.

Bellevue is 1-2 in league and 11-7 overall. The team will travel to Port Angeles Saturday January 21 for a 6:00 game against undefeated Peninsula. The Pirates are currently in first place in the North Region and are ranked #7 in the latest NWAC Under Armour Coaches’ Poll.
