Sophomore Erin Hamilton led Bellevue with 13 points and 7 rebounds as the Bellevue College women’s basketball team held off a feisty host Whatcom club with a 66-62 win. Hamilton keyed a pivotal third quarter as Bellevue established a sizeable lead. Whatcom would then battle back in the final frame, assisted by several Bellevue players in foul trouble, including star freshman Brenda Akoto who had 12 points for Bellevue. Molly Dixon and Aamira Turner added 11 points apiece.

The win keeps Bellevue in a tie for first place in the North Region at 5-1 (13-6 overall).  Bellevue hosts Olympic this Wednesday February 1. Tipoff is set for 5:00 p.m.
