Women’s Tennis Opens Up League Play With Convincing Win Over Skagit Valley

Bellevue College opened up NWAC play with a bang as the women cruised to a 9-0 win over Skagit Valley. Due to roster issues, Skagit Valley did not enough players to complete doubles play which resulted in five points won by default by Bellevue. Moriah Austin, the reigning NWAC singles champ, won #1 singles 6-0, 6-1. Newcomer Holly Wright had to work extra hard to scratch out a 6-3, 4-6, 7-5 win while returner Marissa Kirk won easily 6-0, 6-1.
