Bellevue Golf Ties For Sixth At Olympic Invitational

Bellevue College opened up the spring season with a sixth place finish at the Olympic College Invitational held at Gold Mountain GC on Thursday March 23 and Friday March 24. The Bulldogs finished 28 strokes behind tourney champion Spokane. Newcomer Matt O’Brien led BC individually with a two-day total of 75-78 to finish ninth overall. Freshman Kevin Simmons was tied for 12th place shooting 75-79. The Bulldogs put themselves in a hole on day one as the squad shot 24 over par on the back nine to put them out of contention.

Isaac Hall shot 84-78, Kurtis Koltermann shot 86-79. The Bulldogs’ next match is their spring league opener in the Tri-Cities at the Columbia Basin League Match. Day one will be Sunday April 9 at West Richland GC in Richland and Monday April 10 at Canyon Lakes GC in Kennewick. Here are the complete results from the Olympic Invitational.
