Without the services of number one player Moriah Austin, Bellevue College women’s tennis was able to pull off a huge win over Highline College 5-4. Bellevue lost the number one singles as Austin’s replacement, Holly Wright went down 6-1, 6-1, but Bellevue’s 2-6 players all won. Marissa Kirk, Kathleen Nolan, Candice Canley, and Ha Nguyen all won to lead BC to their second close win over Highline. The Thunderbirds, a new team in the NWAC this year, appear to be Bellevue’s toughest competition in the chase for the NWAC title after two nail-biting contests.

Bellevue hosts Spokane tomorrow, April 15 at 11:00 a.m. at Robinswood Tennis Center. The Bulldogs are 4-0 and 5-2 overall.
