MARSH STEPS ASIDE AS CROSS COUNTRY COACH
May 28, 2008
Head Men’s and Women’s Cross Country Coach Jenn Marsh has submitted her resignation after one season at the helm of the BCC Men’s and Women’s Cross Country teams, citing personal reasons.
A 2007 graduate of Seattle Pacific University, Marsh was an NCAA Division II All-American performer in indoor track, and was an All-GNAC selection for Cross Country as well. In April of 2007, she was named the head coach on an interim basis, stepping in for former coach Stella Orechia.
Under Marsh, Bellevue fielded a full men’s team throughout most of the season, and qualified for the NWAACC Championships, where they finished tenth.
“The last year has been a wonderful experience with the athletes and the program” said Marsh. “Everyone has been very supportive of my decision, and I truly appreciate the experience I have gotten at BCC over the last year. It’s been very rewarding, but for personal reasons I need to move on.”
