BULLDOGS HOLD OFF RANGERS
January 21, 2008

Randy Bolick
Bulldog sophomore Randy Bolick shoots for two of his 11 points in Bellevue's 75-66 victory over Olympic College on January 19

The BCC men's basketball team shook off some early rust and got key scores and stops when they needed to en route to a 75-66 victory over the visiting Rangers of Olympic College.

A shorthanded Olympic squad proved to be stubborn opposition in the first half, and BCC found themselves clinging to a 34-31 lead at the break. The Bulldogs flexed some of their interior muscle in the second half, pounding the ball inside to forwards Josh Monagle, Michael Duty, and Randy Bolick, and got several key steals from guard Curron Singleton to preserve the win.

Monagle led Bellevue with 14 points and 9 rebounds, while Duty turned in a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds, to go along with 4 assists in his 22 minutes. Bolick continued his recent offensive surge with 11 points, and Singleton chipped in 13 points and 4 steals.
