SOPHOMORE SURPRISE: BULLDOGS BLITZ ORCAS
What started out as a heavyweight fight on Sophomore night turned into a celebration, as BCC used a 48 point second half to run away from visiting Whatcom Community College, 85-72 on February 20. Bellevue's four sophomores played a game to remember in their final home contest. The Bulldog veterens led six players in double figures on the night, as Bellevue racked up 22 assists as a team. Josh Monagle finished with teams highs of 18 points and 9 rebounds, and also dished out 4 assists. Point guard Steve Wiseley recorded 12 points and 7 assists, while Michael Duty combined 13 points with 7 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 blocked shots, and Randy Bolick finished with 12 points and 4 rebounds. Rounding out the double figure scoring for BCC were freshmen Curron Singleton and Sam Cartmell, who scored 11 and 12 points respectively.
