MEN’S SOCCER HAS UP AND DOWN WEEK!
November 4, 2008

The Bulldogs (12-2-2) had an emotional first game of the week October 29th with a come-from-behind victory against Highline CC (12-1-3) 3-2 to take over first place in the West Division, but then lost that division lead when the Bulldogs traveled to Bellingham on November 1st and came up short 1-0 against Whatcom CC (9-3-4).

Both games were hard-fought physical battles that saw the Bulldogs  feeling high and low by week’s end. Against Highline, the Bulldogs jumped out early scoring on Matt Eronemo’s goal in the second minute then found themselves down 2-1 with just eight minutes to go. BCC’s Diego Robayo scored in the 82nd minute, and was then followed by Vini Oliveira’s goal in the 86th minute to finish off with a 3-2 victory.

The Whatcom game saw the Orcas score in the 13th minute and then play stingy defense to keep the Bulldogs out of the net the entire game, finally handing the Bulldogs a heartbreaking 1-0 loss.

This week the Bulldogs travel to Edmonds to take on the Edmonds Tritons (6-9-1) November 5th at 7:30pm. For the regular season ending match, BCC hosts the Shoreline Dolphins (6-6-4) this Saturday November 8th at the BCC Soccer Field at 2:00pm.
