Background: Number one starter for first half of season last spring…finished 2-1-1 with 38 strikeouts in 30 innings and 1.46 ERA…is also hitting for Bulldogs this upcoming spring…named to the NWAACC Sophomore Showcase this past fall…Played at Issaquah High School under Coach Rob Reese…three -year letter-winner…1st team All-Kingco 4A pitcher, Kingco 4A MVP, as well as a selection onto the Seattle Times Star Times team…also made 1st team All-State as a senior along with current teammates John Bodenhamer, Alex Hatch, Aaron Stroosma, Nick Pribble, Noel Gonzalez, and Kurt Lindemann… posted a 1.08 ERA with 76 strikeouts in 58 IP as a senior…played summer baseball for Lakeside Recovery American Legion under the same high school coach…helped lead Lakeside to a 3rd place finish at the American Legion World Series in 2012…pitched for the Seattle Mariners fall scout team in 2011 with current teammate Alex Hatch…was rated the 21st top prospect in the state by Baseball Northwest…originally signed with Gonzaga University before opting to attend Bellevue.

Personal: Born April 28, 1994…son of Debbie Dunlap and Mike Mahovlich, and brother to Colton and Mack Mahovlich…father Mike threw javelin for the University of Washington from 1978-1982, and then for the Canadian national team in the 1984 and 1988 Olympics…Brandon chose Bellevue for the programs reputation and coaching.
