Background: Came out of redshirt year last spring with an injured back to help the team down playoff stretch…finished with a 1-0 record and 2.57 ERA…struck out 11 and only walked 4…preserved the win in elimination game against Mount Hood at the NWAACC Championships last May…underwent back surgery this past October 2013 and will sit out 2014 spring…played for Skyline High School under Coach Chris Tamminen…two-year letter-winner… All-Kingco 4A pitcher Honorable Mention and team captain…posted a 2.3 ERA and won the Kingco 4A crest division senior season…played summer baseball for En Fuego under Coach Jesse Orton…also lettered twice in basketball, under Coach Brian Dailey at Eastlake HS before transferring to Skyline…played small forward where he received All-Kingco 4A Honorable Mention during his junior year.

Personal: Born February 13, 1994…son of Joe and Holly Kassuba, with two sisters, Shelby and Kailey… father Joe played baseball at Bellevue Community College in 1985 and 1986 … interested in studying sports medicine…enjoys wakeboarding, basketball, golf, and skiing…chose Bellevue because of the coaching and the reputation of the baseball program.
