Background: Second Team All-North Region utility player after being converted to catcher for second half of season and carrying hot bat into NWAACC Championships…had 142 at-bats and hit .296 with 10 doubles and 24 RBI’s…was 7 for 9 in stolen bases…had three hits including two doubles in win over Linn-Benton at NWAACC Championships…played summer for Bellingham Bells in West Coast Collegiate League before breaking hand in second week of summer…named to the NWAACC Sophomore Showcase this past fall…signed National Letter of Intent during the early signing period with NCAA Division I Campbell (NC) University…Played for Tahoma High School under Coach Russ Hayden… two-year letter-winner…two time All-SPSL 4A honorable mention shortstop as a junior and senior…posted a .375 batting average during his senior year…helped lead Tahoma to a SPSL championship in 2011 and a District championship in 2012… played summer baseball for the Washington Senators under Coach Jeff Hebner… won the Mickey Mantle State Championship in 2008, and the Babe Ruth State Championship and a berth to the Babe Ruth World Series in 2011… Malone also played quarterback on the football team in 2010 under Coach Tony Davis

Personal: Born November 15, 1993…son to Jim and Debbie Malone and brother to Jake Malone…grandfather Larkus Pesnell, aunt Pam Pesnell, and uncle Peter Pesnell all went to the University of Arkansas for athletics; Larkus for football, and Pam and Peter both for soccer…other Uncle Patrick Pesnell played football for Arkansas Tech…enjoys hunting and snowboarding… chose Bellevue for their well -known baseball program.
