Student perspectives

  • The first time I went to an employment agency looking for a job they wanted me to fill-out an application form. I didn't know how to fill it out. So, I asked someone to help me. Next, they got me to take a test. The test had drawing and math. I just did the math and drawing. The agency gave me a job.
  • The first time I went to Westaff Agency to find a job. I went into the office and a woman asked can I help you. I said, yes, I'm looking for a job. She asked what kind of job are you looking for. I told her I'm looking for an assembly job. She gave me application forms to fill-out. I wrote on my information on it and gave it back to her. Next, she gave me a ten-minute timed test. After that, she called me for an interview. She asked me a lot of questions and I answered all of the questions. She called the day after the interview and gave me a job.
  • My first interview was just after graduation from university. I went a high school and met with the principal. He was an old man and his style was very fearful. I was in a state of tension. We got into a conversation about many kinds of things. Two days later, I got the job. I taught for ten years.
