The Bellevue Entrepreneur Center (BEC), a non-profit partnership between BCC, local agencies (City of Bellevue and King County), and the University of Washington, and private enterprise, provides resources to help women and minority owned small businesses grow. BEC's current offerings include student consulting teams and a micro-loan program. In the 2002-03 year, the BEC assisted 1,227 clients with a total of 2,000 hours of counseling/consulting.
