Graduation with Distinction
The college encourages students to achieve the highest level of scholarship in pursuit of their educational goals. Students who have earned a degree or certificate of achievement and have maintained a high cumulative grade-point average in all coursework completed at BCC will receive recognition at the graduation commencement. A notation will also be included on BCC official transcripts and diplomas. Credits transferred to BCC from other colleges are not included in the calculation of the cumulative grade-point average for distinction recognition. Distinction is recognized as follows:
- Cumulative grade point average of 3.50-3.74 – “With Distinction”
- Cumulative grade point average of 3.75-4.0 – “With High Distinction”
