Our new Business Management Certificate Program is designed to give first-level managers and small business owners a balance of professional skills and management know-how in specific business areas. To do that, our programs team has developed a new suite of courses that focus on providing relevant, practical business skills that students can learn in class tonight and use tomorrow at work.
All of the courses in the program have been designed by subject matter experts and are taught by business professionals with extensive experience in putting theory into practice. All of the required courses and two electives are new. Courses may be taken as standalone units or as part of the full certificate program.
In addition to business fundamentals, required courses cover the many facets of management, including managing change as well as managing people or finances and operations. Other required courses focus on developing leadership, negotiation, marketing, or problem-solving skills.
New elective courses cover how to deliver great presentations or master the art of professional selling. Other electives focus on budgets and finance, business writing, communicating persuasively, and entrepreneurship.
The certificate requires 123 course hours to complete. Required courses comprise 105 course hours, and elective comprise the remaining 18 course hours.
The program’s small classes let our instructors give students personal attention. Classes are taught during evenings and weekends to accommodate the schedules of working professionals.
Our flexible program lets you start any quarter you like and finish at your own pace. You can take as few as one or two classes a week.
