TELOS - Creative Non-Fiction: Writing Op-Eds, Personal Essays, Books & Articles

Creative nonfiction brings together the best of old-fashioned journalism and the narrative style of good fiction. You might be the next David Sedaris (comedy) or the next Joan Didion (serious essays about life). You may want to write op-eds to express your thoughts in the newspaper on major topics, or you may want to record family history in a new and creative way. Whether you want to be published or just write for friends and family, this class will give you tools to accomplish your goal. I'll bring samples from some of the best professionals, and we'll do writing exercises in class.

Participants will have the opportunity to bring in at least one short piece for class discussion. For writers at all levels. Beginners are welcome. Course fee includes class materials.
