Join instructor Gwen Nagano and explore Ayurvedic cooking through the use of all six tastes for balanced meals to optimize digestion. We will make clarified butter/Ghee, a rice and split mung dhal digestive cleansing dish called, Kitchari, warm cereal, and create digestive teas and aids. We will review the medicinal properties of the spices used and discuss how healing begins in the kitchen. This is a hands-on and interactive class; a handout which includes the recipes and basic principles of the healing concepts of the food will be distributed in class. Gluten free and vegetarian.
