Mary Summers, SPHR has an extensive background in all facets of human resources management, having worked for organizations in both the public and private sectors. Her areas of expertise include recruiting, performance management, employee relations, and salary/benefit administration. A graduate of West Chester University in West Chester, PA, Ms. Summers has also done graduate work at Widener University in Chester, PA. In addition to serving as an instructor in the Human Resources Management certificate program for Bellevue College, Mary also is employed at BioControl Systems in Bellevue as its first HR manager.
James H. (Jim) Hopkins is an Attorney. He received a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from the University of Nebraska at Omaha, did Graduate Studies in Economics at the University of Nebraska at Omaha and received a Juris Doctorate from the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma Washington. Mr. Hopkins has forty plus years of experience in the Construction Industry and in the field of Employer/Employee Relations as a Human Resource Professional and as a practicing Attorney. Mr. Hopkins also serves as an arbitrator and a mediator for business, employment and labor disputes through the Mandatory Arbitration program of the King County Superior Court system. He completed the course for “Becoming a Labor Arbitrator” under the auspices of the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service.
