C# Web Development Certificate Program

Bellevue College Continuing Education is scheduling the C# Web Development Certificate Program for retirement after this academic year. If you are currently enrolled in Bellevue College Continuing Education and intend to complete this Certificate, please contact cetechprograms@bellevuecollege.edu as soon as possible to discuss options for completion.

The C# Web Development Certificate Program provides the opportunity to learn the advanced skills needed to succeed in today’s .NET web-based industry. In this program, students build on the skills learned in the C# Programming Certificate Program to design, develop, implement, and deploy C# web-based applications in a variety of architectural configurations.

For more details, see an overview table of required and elective courses in the program and required courses in its introductory certificate program in C# programming. Courses may be taken individually or as part of the full certificate program.

The program was designed and is taught by professionals who currently work in the field and requires 107 course hours to complete. And because it emphasizes learning by doing, about 30% of class time is typically devoted to exercises.

Heavy emphasis is given to ASP.NET, JavaScript, and WCF. jQuery fundamentals are covered, and students may also elect to study server-side programming with PHP. In the final Capstone course, students complete a customized portfolio project that demonstrates the skills developed in earlier courses.

The program’s small classes let instructors give students personal attention. Classes are taught during evenings and weekends to accommodate the schedules of working professionals. Our flexible program lets you start any quarter you like and finish at your own pace. You can take as few as one or two classes a week. Although the program can be completed in a year, you may take as long as three years to earn your certificate.
