Biography:

Harlan’s career in higher education began in 1991 as an academic advisor in a TRIO program. Since that time he has worked in multiple departments at three different colleges in a variety of positions such as a program coordinator, transfer specialist, faculty counselor, and department chair. He earned a Bachelor of Arts from Rowan University, Master of Education from Northern Arizona University, and a Master of Counseling from Arizona State University. Harlan was born and raised overseas and moved to the United States when he was 10. He has lived on the east coast, west coast, southwest, and now calls the northwest home. Harlan has taught Psychology and Human Development classes at BC and his professional interests include student success, online learning, and health and wellness. He is particularly interested in mind body medicine and stress management.
