Bellevue College received accreditation from the Northwest Commission for Colleges and Universities for its new Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science on September 17, 2016. Accreditation of this new computer science program not only makes Bellevue College the first of Washington State’s community and technical colleges to offer a traditional, four-year Bachelor of Science degree, but also provides students within the region an additional program in which to earn a computer science degree. In recent years, student demand for computer science degrees has far exceeded the available spots at colleges and universities within the state. Bellevue’s new program will add additional student capacity and help provide industry with much needed computer science knowledge and skills. Bellevue College will begin to enroll students in this new program for Winter 2017.
