New Frontiers Land and Space

 

Great 5 CR Arts and Humanities course being offered online this Winter.

 

This exciting course provides students with a different perspective on the history of our beautiful Pacific Northwest. We will look in depth at what life was like here and in Alaska from the turn of the century through WWII and the 1940’s. We will read the novel Snow Falling on Cedar, and examine political issues of the Japanese internment and the evolution of Asian American history in our society.

 

Students will be evaluated on the basis of class participation on the discussion board, a book report and on contribution to the collaborative class project. There are no formal exams in this course. Spaces fill up. Enroll today!
