Beabe Akpojovwo a native of Seattle has been employed with Bellevue College for five years, as the Assistant to the Vice President for Diversity. Prior to this position, she served as the Office Manager in the Regional Scales Node department at the University of Washington, and 11 years as the Field Office Manager for Casey Family Programs, a nonprofit System Improvement and Child Advocacy organization. Beabe has over 20 years of executive management and support skills. Beabe served and chaired several diversity and pluralism committees over the years, and has a great passion for the work. Beabe Akpojovwo has a B.A. & M.A in Theology.
At Bellevue College, Beabe has served on various committees such as: the CARE Team, the Evidence Team, Vision Strategy Team, Grant Advisory Committee, Sustainable Committee, Sustainable Foods Advisory Action Group, Student Success Taskforce, Diversity Caucus, Employee Pluralism Committee, Community Pluralism Advisory Committee, Black Employees of Bellevue College, and the LEAN Council.
Beabe currently serves as the Vice President of Organizational Vitality for the Pacific Northwest Council on Black American Affairs (PNCBAA).
