Is the English 101 class easier because of the accelerated students?
ANSWER: English 101 is conducted like a regular 101 class. We maintain the same standards and academic rigor, as we would in any 101 section.
What should students expect once enrolled?
ANSWER: Instructors have high expectations and high support for both classes. Students will manage their time, workload and attendance; collaborate with other students; and practice motivation and focus techniques.
Will students succeed in accelerated composition courses?
ANSWER: Generally speaking, yes. Current data has shown that students are more successful in accelerated rather than taking the courses separately. Instructors and peers provide additional support throughout the quarter.
